Abstract

English and its literature have faced a long evolution process framed into diverse sociopolitical changes. The Middle age English and English literature is characterized by the influenced of French language after the Norman conquest in 1066 AD. Thus, both language and literature enriched with the French culture which brought in turn, classic languages lexicon from Latin and Greek.
